Oregon Freeze Dry, Inc., makers of Mountain House, the #1 brand of freeze dried backpacking foods, is seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor to lead, organize and train Quality Assurance staff to successfully meet company and departmental objectives while building a team environment of trust and cooperation.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
· Guiding staff to appropriate resource contacts outside of the QA Department.
· Guiding the implementation of short term and long term solutions.
· Considering and identifying potential impacts to the Company, in
regards to issue(s) and their corrective action(s)/preventative
action(s).
· Evaluate, communicate and document potential risks.
· Assist QA Department staff in decision making in a timely manner.
· Communicate information to other departments and/or regulatory bodies when necessary.
· Reviews and approves time cards and assigns vacation coverage when needed.
· Manages QA Department budget tracking.
· Reviews disposal records and tracks disposal data and other metrics.
· Manages employee training, including, but not limited to: Training specific to job functions, development and monitoring of individualized staff development training/plans, maintenance of QA staff training documentation.
· Acts as a document reviewer for QA verified documentation.
· Acts as the main liaison and point of contact for the Contract Service Pest Control Provider.
· Manages hold tag reconciliation and resolution.
· Supports awareness and QA involvement in product development projects (PSRs).
WORK CONDITIONS & WORK SCHEDULE:
Office and laboratory environments.
Exposure to manufacturing plant conditions (hot, cold, wet, dry, noisy, etc).
On-call availability and flexibility of working hours (nights, weekends) required to support QA staff and 24/7 facility operations.
BENEFITS & SALARY:
