DGI is also one of the industry's premier providers of Automated Procurement Solutions (APS). We are currently seeking a Technical/Customer Support Consultant to provide technical support and customer service support remotely from our Wheeling, Illinois corporate office.
To be successful in this role:
- Successful candidate will master skills in handling customer interactions via phone and e-mail.
- Have the ability to explain technical applications and concepts to non-technical users remotely.
- Possess strong training skills.
Job duties will include:
• Maintain the inventory database
• Maintain users for system and set up access controls
• Setup custom reports for customers
• Provide Account Managers with basic training and instructions
• Perform automated price updates and verification
• Provide first point of contact PC and software technical support
• Troubleshoot basic PC functions with Account Managers and customers
• Troubleshoot and triage problems with customer software to resolve issues
• Generate inventory reports for the customer and Account Managers
• Work closely with vending buyers to assure seamless order fulfillment
• Generate and distribute weekly and monthly customer invoices
• Perform maintenance, replacement, and repairs, and on industrial vending equipment
• Configuration of third party software and equipment to connect to the Internet via modem/DSL Router (Dialup/DSL customers only).
• Configure software to connect to Internet application servers.
• Obtain general understanding of OS and application operations related to company offered services.
• Identify and correct or advise, on operational issues in computer systems.
• Perform creation of new accounts using company provided software tools.
• Provide remote hardware support for industrial vending equipment
• Perform computer hardware repair and replacement
• Provide backup support to vending customer service and administrative duties

Minimum Qualifications:

- Technical expertise required; degree in a technology oriented program of study preferred
- Experience with customer service roles preferred and strong service orientation
- Proven ability to use operating systems and other third party software to service customer needs effectively
- Professional maturity, integrity and a positive attitude
-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required
-Strong analytical skills required
-Attention to detail and strong organizational skills required
-Advanced Excel skills a plus
-Industry knowledge desired but not required.
