The team at Lionbridge with solution centres in 25 countries worldwide
is recruiting self-employed workers who are fluent speakers in English
and are based in various cities in Maryland in the United States to join
our Venue Map Surveyor team. This project will require knowledge of
popular venues within your city. You will be required to travel to
these venues with the purpose of completing on the ground map surveys.
Candidates will be required to walk around each of these venues for up
to 8 hours per day. Each venue surveyed will take between 1-5 days to
complete. Candidates need to be healthy and fit and be able to follow
route plans in an efficient manner to complete all on survey work within
the expected timelines. Specific address details of venues within your
city will be provided in advance of survey work starting.
Requirements:
You will be required to work on your own and be available for up to one week for each venue to be surveyed.
Surveyors will be required to walk for a significant part of each day.
Distances to be covered will vary based on the size of floor plans for
each venue.
You will be required to travel to venues within your city to complete the surveys.
Surveyors need to have a track record of interpreting & following
project guidelines to ensure that all requirements are understood and
followed correctly.
Proficiency in English & native language is essential
We are seeking people who are avid internet users and confident in using the internet
For cultural, historical and geographical awareness purposes
candidates must be resident or have local knowledge of the cities listed
Familiar with using popular smartphone brands and installing and updating applications on these devices
The goal of this project is to survey indoor venues using devices and
software provided. Candidates will need to follow specific instructions
to navigate to pre-determined venues and be available for up to 5 day’s
full time to complete each venue.
This work will involve:
- You will be required to commute to a venue within your city each day.
- A smartphone will be shipped to each surveyor for the survey work to take place on.
- A smartphone application and training materials will be provided. All
instructions will need to be read and understood before going to the
venue.
- You will be required to commute to the venue and complete all survey
work within 5 days. Each Surveyor may be required to revisit a venue
afterwards should any remapping be required.
- After the end of the project you will be required to ship the devices back to Lionbridge.
The number of venues within your city will determine the amount of work
that is available. Once you agree to survey a venue Lionbridge will
agree a start time. Each venue will be need to be surveyed within 1 week
of project start.
