I am conducting research for a book about the factors leading to divorce and separation after long-term marriages or partnerships, a growing phenomenon.

By collecting comprehensive survey data from a large number of respondents (male and female, gay and straight), who have lived with their partners for 20, 30, 40 years or even longer, but have now divorced or separated, I will determine trends and commonalities.
