My specialty at EZgo-Now is Electric Bike Conversions. Consequently I'm
purchasing many types of bikes, both new or used that meets my
qualifications regardless of their make. So I get to do a lot of side by
side comparisons and Diamondback Bikes stands toe to toe with the best
marquees I've purchased so far & often for hundreds less. This is a
great bike. Aesthetically, Fit & Finish, Ride & Handling. Many
bikes this well-built would start out in the $500 range.
Being a large male I was a tight fit on a 17" women's bike but I was
still able to get it adjusted for a ride around the neighborhood. The
shifting is similar to every Diamondback I've ridden so far. Quick &
precise with a good feel & very intuitive. The Kenda Kwick Trax
tires are very "GRIPY" & are sure to find traction in the soft stuff
EVEN WITH a low-gear so low I thought at first the chain had come off.
It does not have disc brakes, nor does it really need them. They have a
light & progressive feel & stop as fast & smooth as any bike
I've ridden. The beefy aluminum frame is extremely stiff, responsive
& light with beautiful welds & an exceptional finish. The
overall look is very handsome in a feminine sort of way. IT'S
DEFFINANTLY NOT A "GIRLIE BIKE".
