Millennium Asparagus is a non GMO hybrid Male, produced from 1st Generation seed produced in screened fields to avoid contamination from pollen from adjoining asparagus fields. Not all varieties that claim to be male can say this...resulting in them having a lower % of male plants. Male plants put all of the energy into growing roots....bigger roots = more larger spears to cut.

Millennium is known for its high quality spear that remain tight at a greater spear height, even in hotter harvest seasons. Spears are tender, have outstanding flavor and excellent freezing quality. Performs well in a variety of soil conditions including heavier soils. Developed in Canada, Millennium has excellent cold hardiness and a very long longevity. Disease resistance, including rust resistance is excellent. A culinary favorite!
