Hello my name is Shawn M. Kivela, and I am the owner of Champlain Valley
Home Improvements. We are a home improvement/ Restoration company that
specializes in foundation to roof repair/ restoration. My team of
professionals has the unique ability to perform your every home
improvement need. Be it foundation restoration to general painting we
can do it all.
I hold certificates in EMP, and EPA RRP lead safety stabilization. We
have 25 plus years of experience and have generated a large portfolio of
a verity of work performed. The most notable is the Redstone foundation
restoration. Turning old 100+ year old foundations into their original
works of art, while restoring the integrity of the strength as well as
adding water stopping capabilities.
Drywall needs? We can address all of it from framing to finished product. Home restorations is our passion.
When addressing the Redstone foundations you should ask yourself a few
questions. Does your foundation require a sump pump? Do you have leaks?
Is there piles of what seems to be dirt on the floor running the length
of the foundation wall? Can you see holes or gaps in the mortar? Can you
literally touch the old mortar and see it fall off to the touch? Does
the plaster in the building seem to be cracking? If so your foundation
could be shifting do to the lack of stabilization within the actual
foundation. These are all problems that can be addressed and fixed. More
often than not people say oh it's a stone foundation they are supposed
to leak because they have never seen one that doesn't.
