  DO NOT HIRE THIS GUY!!! He installed a deck and patio at my home in Durham NC April/May 2018 and did a HORRIBLE job. The patio has started to sink already and he will not return my calls and come fix it. over $6,000 completely wasted. HE'S A SCAM!!! DO NOT USE HIM!!!

  This man is a liar. He was paid to do a job and never came back to complete it despite promising that he would on several occations. Stay away.

  Unhappy Customer (update)

  I wasn't able to remove the prior review so I thought it was only fair that I post an update. A few days after posting the original review he showed back up to take care of the issues, including the handrail, nailing the deck boards and replaced wood that had molded. The deck then passed the final inspection without any problems.

  Does okay work but don't expect to pass inspection. If you pay him early he'll disappear and you won't see him again. Tells you at the beginning that you have to pay for wood up front and then the balance at the end. In my case this was supposed to be 2 weeks. 2 months later and it still wasn't done. Kept showing up and saying I needed to give him more money or he couldn't finish. At that point what do you do? Failed footing and final inspections. Handrail and balusters fell down completely and he refused to come back and fix. Didn't realize at the time that they weren't even attached. Wood was covered in black mold before he was finished because he left it piled up for so long. Killed all the grass where wood was stacked and left. Had mud all over the yard from digging the posts as he put the dirt on the outside instead if inside. Poured concrete in holes and filled with water instead of mixing it. Had 2 whole rows of deck boards that weren't nailed into anything. The nails were at least 3 inches away from the joists so the boards rattle when walked on. I have to get someone to finish the job so I can pass my final inspection. Sadly he had good references. I don't know how.
